On this date, Indonesia succeeded in proclaiming its independence. Indonesia succeeded in being free from the hands of the invaders. Indonesia successfully defended its country. For the past 20 years I have lived, this date will make me cry because I am moved to remember the sacrifices of Indonesian heroes. How difficult is it for us to be one and free. Even though we are outside Indonesia it doesn’t mean that we forget about our homeland so today we take the time to celebrate. We celebrated by taking a photo in front of the main building of the university by holding the red and white flag. Our aim is to migrate to other countries to make our country name fragrant and make them proud. We also took the time to sing the song "Indonesia Raya" in front of the red and white flag. Besides in front of the main building, we also took pictures at the university’s library with asean corner writing.
After doing small celebrations. We went to Big C the big supermarket. We had time to shop for personal needs and of course souvenirs for people in Indonesia. Before 4pm we were at the university again and separated. Alfia and I returned home as did Diana and Suryani.
Arriving at the room, I took a short break and prepared to have dinner with ajarn Som Song. Actually we did not know who is ajarn Som Song, but suddenly we were invited to dinner at his house. For go to her house, we were picked up with her husband using a car. The house is quite far from the university. Arriving there we were warmly welcomed by Ajarn Som Song. We were taught how to cook Tom Yam Kun. The food is very much served. I was overwhelmed to spend it. The food was very tasty too. In addition to heavy food, we were presented with fruits that were not only one type but there were three kinds of fruits and one kind of typical Thai cake. We chatted while eating meals. Exchange stories about Indonesia. As it turned out, they had been to Indonesia. Besides me and the alfia, P'poy also ate with us. After eating, we were invited to see their flower gardens. Many types of flowers they plant. Besides flowers, there are also small swings and pools. A beautiful and comfortable house. Then, we talked for a while before we finally got home. Really a nice day. There's always a little surprise on my days in Thailand.
